Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science, George Mason University
My first name is pronounced as /ˈtʃaː.ɦət/
I am a final year Ph.D. candidate, majoring in Computer Science at George Mason University. I'm advised by Prof. Ziwei Zhu and Prof. Antonios Anastasopoulos. I am also advised by Prof. Aylin Caliskan at the University of Washington. I specialize in sociocultural biases, ethics, and fairness in multimodal and multilingual NLP. Currently, I am working towards understanding how biases perpetuate and reinforce in (large) vision-language models, and exploring ways to mitigate these drawing on social psychology and cognitive sciences. The times when I'm not a Researcher, I'm a Poet!
